VOLRETHICS is a non-profit association governed by the French law of 1 July 1901 with the name: “Association Volontaires en Recherche et Ethique” (Volunteers in Research and Ethics Association) and the acronym “VOLRETHICS”. It was formally founded on June 29, 2025.

Active Members of the Association are individuals and legal entities who actively participate in the functioning of the Association and pay yearly membership fees. See Membership section.
Our Advisory Committee
The VOLRETHICS Association’s International Advisory Committee has the mission to advise the VOLRETHICS Association on matters related to the strategy, missions and actions of the Association. The Committee comprises experts from academia, the private sector, non-governmental organizations, and governments that have extensive experience and knowledge on ethical and scientific issues related to the involvement of human research participants, including healthy volunteers. Experts are appointed in their personal capacity, not as representatives of their organisations.
